Samenvatting:

Het is een boek gevuld met data en jaren. Chronologisch wordt het hele verhaal vertelt vanaf 1809 met de geboorte van Charlotte Tucker tot uiteindelijk 1996 het overlijden van Garth Williams.

In het begin is het vooral over de familie Ingalls en Quiner, daarna komt er heel veel uit de dagboeken van Rose en gaat het ook over Rose en haar reizen. Maar er is mooi chronologisch gekeken naar het uitgebreide leven van de hele familie Ingalls

Hoewel het niet makkelijk leest omdat het allemaal korte zinnen zijn, is het wel erg interessant. En het klopt niet altijd helemaal, maar er is wel echt veel werk in gestopt.

Er staan geen tekeningen in dit boek, alleen 1 foto van Laura op de kaft.

Eigen mening:

Boek ontvangen in april 2021. Ik had het boek al een tijdje gezien bij Amazon, maar het was alleen te koop in Amerika, terwijl de tijdlijn van de Wilder’s wel via Bol.com kon. Ik heb dus even gewacht met het bestellen. Ik was blij toen ik dit boek kreeg en het boek is op het eerste gezicht erg mooi en uitgebreid. Een lang tijdlijn van de hele familie Ingalls. Geen lees-verhaal, maar wel zeer veel bij elkaar over Laura.

Zeer interessant boek! Ik heb mijn eigen tijdlijn er mee aangevuld, want er stond veel interessants in. Ook heel gewone dingen die juist leuk zijn om te weten.

It is a book filled with dates and years. Chronologically, the whole story is told from 1809 with the birth of Charlotte Tucker to the death of Garth Williams in 1996.

In the beginning it is mainly about the Ingalls and Quiner family, then a lot comes from Rose's diaries and it is also about Rose and her travels. But there is a nice chronological look at the extended life of the entire Ingalls family

Although it is not easy to read because it is all short sentences, it is very interesting. And it's not always completely right, but a lot of work has really been put into it.

There are no drawings in this book, only 1 photo of Laura on the cover.

Own opinion:

Book received in April 2021. I had seen the book on Amazon for a while, but it was only for sale in America, while the Wilder's timeline was available via Bol.com. So I waited a while before ordering. I was happy when I got this book and at first glance the book is very nice and extensive. A long timeline of the entire Ingalls family. Not a reading story, but a lot together about Laura.
