Een dun boekje wat weer vooral bestaat uit artikelen die Laura ooit heeft geschreven en die samengevoegd zijn in verschillende hoofdstukken. Ze geven een idee van hoe Laura Ingalls Wilder tegen het leven aankeek. De indeling van de hoofdstukken is als volgt:
- Het betaald terug als je de juiste dingen doet
- Hoeveel is je woord waard?
- De manier waarop we naar de wereld kijken
- Goed ontwikkeld zijn en gebalanceerd
- Zorg er voor dat je dromen uitkomen
De artikelen van Laura zijn gedateerd op maand en jaar waarin ze zijn verschenen. Allemaal tussen 1916 en 1924. De onderwerpen zijn divers.

Tekeningen:

Er staan 7 foto's in het boekje, zwart-wit. Geen een is onbekend. Een foto van het bureautje waaraan Laura schreef en een foto van het huis van Pa en Ma in DeSmet in de sneeuw. Verder de bekende familiefoto's van Ma, de familie Ingalls, Rose.

Eigen mening:

Ik vind de artikelen niet allemaal even prettig om te lezen. Verder is het wel een mooi boekje.

A slim book that mainly consists of articles that Laura once wrote and that are combined into various chapters. They give an idea of how Laura Ingalls Wilder viewed life. The division of the chapters is as follows:

- Make your dream a reality

Laura's articles are dated by month and year in which they were published. All between 1916 and 1924. The subjects are diverse.

Drawings:

There are 7 photos in the booklet, black and white. None are unknown. A photo of the desk where Laura wrote and a photo of Ma and Pa's house in DeSmet in the snow. Furthermore, the well-known family photos of Ma, the Ingalls family, Rose.

Own opinion:

I don't find all the articles pleasant to read. Other than that it is a nice book.
