Weinig tekst, weinig verhaal. Wel een inleiding over het verhaal het kerstfeest op de prairie.  En bij de kleren staat elke keer een kort stukje. Zoals “Christmas eve”, “an unexpected visitor” en “Rainy Days”.

Tekeningen:

Met tekeningen van Renée Graef van de familie Ingalls met kerst op de prairie. Papieren poppen die je uit kunt drukken en mee kunt spelen, met verschillende kleren om aan te trekken. Mooie, ingekleurde plaatjes. De poppen zijn van karton, de kleren van lichter papier. De tekeningen zijn erg mooi en lief en gedetailleerd. Ook zijn er elke keer een paar extra’s, zoals meubels, een pan, een hoed, enz.

Er zijn twee achtergronden. De ene is van Independence en de winkelstraat waar Mr. Edwards de kerstman tegen kwam. De andere kant is in de blokhut, het haardvuur met de bedden.

Eigen mening:

In 2020 gekocht. Mooi boek vanwege de papieren poppen die weer een link hebben met Laura Ingalls. En natuurlijk de mooie manier van tekeningen van Renée Graef en Doris Ettlinger. De tekeningen wie welke heeft gemaakt zijn niet uit elkaar te houden. Het is een mooi boek.

With drawings by Renée Graef of the Ingalls family with Christmas on the prairie. Paper dolls that you can press out and play with, with different clothes to wear. Beautiful, colored pictures. The dolls are made of cardboard, the clothes of lighter paper. The drawings are very beautiful and sweet and detailed. There are also a few extras each time, such as furniture, a pan, a hat, etc.

There are two backgrounds. One is of Independence and the shopping street where Mr. Edwards met Santa Claus. The other side is in the log cabin, the fireplace with the beds.

Own opinion:

Bought in 2020. Beautiful book because of the paper dolls that have a link with Laura Ingalls. And of course the beautiful way of drawings by Renée Graef and Doris Ettlinger. The drawings who made which are indistinguishable. It is a beautiful book.
