Een dun boekje vooral met bladmuziek. In de inleiding wordt in gegaan op dat liedjes zo belangrijk waren in die tijd. Dat veel liedjes zijn ontwikkelt in die tijd. Je had liedjes die mee werden genomen door emigranten, hymnen, ballades enzovoorts.

Uiteindelijke wordt er in gegaan op dat er ook wel een CD is van de muziek die min of meer hoort bij dit boek. Deze liedjes staan ook in Spotify. Er wordt vertelt hoe de muziek is opgesteld.

Voor elke liedje staat wie het heeft geschreven, zowel de tekst als muziek en in welke tijd ongeveer. En er wordt gezegd in welk boek van Laura ze voorkomen en ook wel hoe Pa ze heeft leren kennen of waarom Pa en Ma ze leuk vonden.

Eigen mening:

Boek gekocht in 2021 via Amazon. Ik heb nu al meerdere songboeken van Laura Ingalls Wilder. De gespeelde liedjes van deze kon ik vinden op Spotify. Het boek is vooral mooi als je muziek maakt. Het is zeker ook leuk om de teksten te kennen.

A small book, mostly containing sheet music. The introduction explains how important songs were at that time and how many songs were developed during that time. There were songs brought back by emigrants, hymns, ballads, and so on.

Finally, it explains that there is also a CD of the music that more or less accompanies this book. These songs are also available on Spotify. The book explains how the music is arranged.

For each song, it lists the author, both the lyrics and music, and the approximate time period. It also explains which Laura's book they appear in, and how Pa discovered them or why Pa and Ma liked them.

My own opinion:

Bought the book in 2021 through Amazon. I already have several Laura Ingalls Wilder songbooks. I was able to find the songs I played from this one on Spotify. The book is especially beautiful if you make music. It's definitely also nice to know the lyrics.
